Thank you for entering the website of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Clinical laboratory services are delivered by Alberta Health Services at the University Hospital Laboratory and in partnership with DynaLIFE DX.

Through the Division of Medical Laboratory Sciences, a four-year B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Sciences program is offered. The Department's Graduate Studies Committee presently oversees graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Royal College-approved residency training programs in General Pathology, Anatomical Pathology, and Hematological Pathology are fully subscribed.

Dear Friends & Colleagues:

Welcome to the Fall edition of the Chair's Report. The last few months have been interesting in terms of the changes to provision of laboratory services in Alberta and changes to Faculty organization. Our location in the School of Clinical and Laboratory Sciences should foster some opportunities for new research and education initiatives and strenthen existing collaborations.

We welcomed four new pathologists to the Department: Drs. Jiang-Qiang Lu, June Hwang, Dean Tung and Art Szkotak. Drs. Hwang, Tung and Szkotak are graduates .....
